Nabeena defends health care providers in cases involving medical and professional liability.   She specializes in defending physicians, nurses, and hospitals against claims of injuries arising from labor and delivery care and neonatal care.  Nabeena’s work has resulted in the successful resolution of several birth injury claims.  Nabeena also has extensive experience in general commercial litigation and in bankruptcy litigation.

  • Summary judgment in favor of radiologist in medical malpractice lawsuit involving improper interpretation of CT resulting in misdiagnosis and need for leg amputation
  • Summary judgment in favor of hospital, pediatric hematologist/oncologist, and pediatric oncologist in medical malpractice lawsuit involving failure to diagnose bacterial infection in a child and failure to obtain informed consent for the child’s blood transfusion
  • Summary judgment in favor of orthopedic surgeon in medical malpractice lawsuit involving improper performance of finger surgery and inappropriate post-operative care
  • Obtained order in limine excluding causation opinions of treating orthopedic surgeon in medical malpractice lawsuit against hospital and surgeon
  • Partial directed verdict in favor of emergency physician resulting in dismissal of informed consent claim based on failure to diagnose pituitary apoplexy
  • Defense verdict for hospital and general surgeon in medical malpractice lawsuit involving bowel injury from hernia repair surgery
  • Defense verdict for clinic in medical malpractice lawsuit involving failure to treat infection arising from biopsy resulting in sepsis and death
  • Defense verdict for plastic and reconstructive surgeon in medical malpractice lawsuit involving improper performance and failure to inform of risks of breast reconstruction surgery
  • Successful defense of physicians and nurses in multiple Department of Health investigations
